After all there's only one more day till Christmas!!

It has been a constant movie marathon at our house over the past couple of days. From Muppet Christmas Carol to White Christmas..we haven't stopped. BUT, the one movie we continue to watch over and over AND over again is: A Christmas Story. Who doesn't love the pudgy little face of Ralphie or the phrase "You'll Shoot your eye out kid". Hysterical. Also, I swear everyone has been triple dog dared to do something as ridiculous as stick your tongue to a flag pole in the middle of winter...wait my husband dared me to do this exact thing just a few hours ago...maybe we watch this movie too much...oh well Merry Christmas!

Watch this please you will laugh

I can be crafty!

So before Christmas we had a Super Saturday with the relief society and at it we made Christmas Decorations. It was a BLAST!! I made a glass block with lights in it, Christmas blocks, and...the best thing ever...a TREE SKIRT!! Ok I am going to post a picture of it but not the other stuff. They didn't really turn out :D

UPDATED!!

Hey all we finally updated a bit so scroll down and read all you can stand to :D We love ya!

Christmas Tree!

We got our Christmas tree up. I love it so much that I just may cry...just kidding but I do love it a lot. It turned out really pretty and even though it is sadly not real, it's one we can keep for many years.

Thansgiving

Finally I am writing about Thanksgiving! We had such a wonderful wonderful week. We got to go to Beau's parents house and spend Tuesday-Sunday with them for the holiday. It was so relaxing and so much fun all at the same time! We brought our Wii up and had a blast teaching mom and dad how to play. It was also really fun to spend lots of time playing with Zach and Stacie. Thanks guys! On Thanksgiving day we got to also spend some time with Tiffany, Jens, Conner, and Logan. That was amazingly fun. Those adorable boys get taller every time we see them! Dolls. They are so much fun to play with. Conner and Logan have such fun personalities I just can't get enough of them. It was probably one of the top thanksgiving weekends on my list.

The dogs were hilarious. Abby and Buster are the best of friends. They love to follow eachother around and do whatever the other one does. hahhaha hilarious

Thanks family we love you so much!!

P.S. Sorry Mechel I just HAD to post the picture of you bowling!!

Abby Girl

We have the strangest dog in the Universe. Really, she is so weird. The other day we were searching forever for her...guess where she was?? Can you see her??

infected :(

Lucky for you I don't have any pictures of this but, I would like to say that sometimes being married to someone who has a ridiculously strong immune system just sucks. Beau sneezed the other day...yes just sneezed. You know what happened next?? I GOT A SINUS INFECTION!!! I can pin point almost the exact MOMENT that it happened. Beau is getting better. He just has a cold and it's going away. Mine you ask?? Oh no, no it's not going away. It is here to stay. My head feels like it's floating off my body. At around 4:30 this morning when I still hadn't fallen asleep I turned on Frosty the Snowman and resorted to drugs to help me sleep. Yep, nyquil. One dose of that and I was out like a light until noon the next day. I thought I suffered enough last year so as to not suffer anymore this year!! Oh well...

thankfully thankfully thankful

I know I said I would do this every day but, I forgot that I am very busy so...yeah that is my excuse. I guess the point I am trying to make is that I am very thankful for everything in my life. Whether it be good or bad I think we learn from our blessings and our trials. So this November and December I challenge you all to not wake up in the morning and think "oh great another day" but wake up and before you put your feet on the ground to start another day, say five things you are thankful
for to yourself...or even out loud. See how much different your day goes if you start it off being thankful for another day of life than being stressed. Love you all!! I will try and keep posting my thankfulness but it probably won't happen every day. Here are my thankfuls for today:

1.Our printer is finally working! HOORAY!! It is so nice to be able to print, copy, scan, or fax anything that we want with no problems.

2. We get to be with both of our families this year for thanksgiving. I am seriously so dang excited to get to spend three whole days with each family. We love spending time with each other.

3. My down comforter...I don't know where I would be without the comfort of down

4. My little dog Abby...she is a beast but our lives wouldn't be the same without the little twerp.

5. modern technology: we were able to web cam with Jamie and Andy last night and though it took 2 hours to fix...it was so FUN! We miss you guys! It's an amazing thing technology...

6. the Temple: Beau and I had a spur of the moment decision to drive down to St. George and go to the temple...it was so amazing. We learned so much and got answers to some very thought about prayers. Thank Goodness!

7. My mother: She is crazy but she also loves with her whole heart...can't go wrong there. And, she gave me life and she has a beautiful soul and loves her kids. Plus she loves Beau and on the phone the other day she said to me "You and Beau were made for eachother" Now for those of you who know my mother that was a HUGE thing. I love you mama.

8. Beau's Mother: if ever I was going to pick a second mom she would be it every time! She is fun and sarcastic which makes it easy (for me because I am the same way) to relate to her and to laugh with her. I have decided that mother-in-laws deserve a special place in Heaven..that has got to be the hardest job ever. Plus she loves me like a daughter and that is just an amazing thing. And, she gave me my number ONE thing to always be thankful for...Beau.

9. Beaus Dad: No contest, he is probably the coolest and sweetest dad on the planet. He is fun to be around and always makes you laugh. He would for sure be my choice for second dad any day. He loves me like a daughter too and I have never questioned that.
10. My sisters. They are wonderful. I can see myself in them just as they see themselves in me. We learn from each other, we fight, we laugh, we love, we relate. It is a wonderful thing when your best friends are the ones you are related to. I am thankful for my old sisters and my new sisters. I love all of you Natalie, Marisa, Josie, Amber, Tiffany, Jamie, and Stacie.

I think I am caught up now! Love you everyone!!

Abby was apparently having way too much fun in her dream...or chasing something...I'm not sure. Watch the video. It made Beau and I laugh.

More Weekend Fun

Lucky for us our fall break was on Monday so we go to spend an extra day in Moab. It was so wonderful. I forget how much I miss Noah, Simon, Maggie, and Emily when I don't get to see them all the time. Sunday night after the race we grabbed the kids, sleds, snowboard, and my dog to go to the sandhill. It was so warm outside so it was perfect. The kids had a blast, Beau and I did too. My dad rigged this pulley system to get the sleds up the hill so the kids wouldn't have to drag the sleds up themselves and so I wouldn't have to do it for them. It was HYSTERICAL! The kids are so much fun. Simon would climb so high on that hill and then FLY down on the sled. I should have filmed it. Beau was going down on the snowboard and he was flying too. He didn't crash until the very last run of the night. Emily kept saying "I can't do it mana (that's manda in 2-year old language) I can't do it" She would sit at the bottom of the hill until I would convince her she could do it and climb up. Beau was a sucked and went to carry her up a couple of times :).

The next day we woke up and watched a Halloween movie and colored tons of halloween coloring pages. It was so nice to be with them for the weekend.

1/2 marathon weekend

Sorry it has taken me forever to post this stuff. I have been somewhat busy. So last weekend we went with Jens and Tiffany to Moab so Beau could run the half marathon with them. I was going to but...didn't. Anyway. We stayed in town at this cute little rental house that my momma hooked us up with. It was a lot of fun getting to spend time with them. I hope they didn't feel like I was ditching them when I would go off with my crazy family!! Sorry guys! Anyway Beau trained a bit but really our summer and fall were too crazy to train. He was planning on going pretty easy and running the 1/2 in 2:30 but..he ended up running it in 1:58!! I was so proud of him. He didn't even push that hard. They had to shuttle you out to the race finish line from a certain spot because the river road was closed so, I didn't get to see him finish but, I did get to see Jens and Tiffany cross holding hands. It was the cutest thing. Go to their blog and she will hopefully post the picture I took as they were running. All my nieces and nephews wanted to go to the finish line to support Uncle Beau. Maggie and Simon even drew him pictures. It was so funny on the way up the river road Maggie kept saying "I can't see him, I can't see Beau." Until we got on the bus to shuttle up and we saw some runners so Emily, my two year old niece yells "I see Beau I see him" It was so adorable. They love bo bo.

Murder Mystery Dinner Party

Beau and I had a blast tonight. We decided last week to plan a Murder Mystery party for this weekend. I had the game and Janece and I made the invitations. It was so much fun. We had written on the back of the invitations everyone's characters and the costume suggestions that they had. Everyone definitely rose to the occasion!

Dierdre C. Deucer:
"Dee," as her friends call her, grew up on the wrong side of the tracks, and in Roley City that meant a tough life for a beautiful girl. Determined to make a success of her life despite a drunken father and a brother convicted of armed robbery at the age of 15, Dee was Homecoming queen. She attended State College and is now in her first year of law school. (it says that I have poofey hair but I couldn't get it to poof)

Calvin Q. Layder-
The son of prominent Roley City insurance salesman, C.U. Layder,"Cal" is a certified genius. While at many schools a science wizard would have no chance of joining the "in" crowd, Cal was a social success during high school largely because he was a terrific practical joker. His jokes, often directed at school administration and occasionally at city officials, earned him such a high standing among the students at Roley High that he was a welcome member of any group. He was particularly close to Rock N. Roley.

The first thing Beau did after getting dressed was came in the bathroom and said "Lorraine your my density..I mean my destiny" and then when he opened the door to greet our guests he said "Hi, I'm George, George McFly." It was hysterical. Try not to pee your pants laughing when you see this outfit!

Running or robbing a bank...you decide

Beau and I decided to go work out this afternoon. I was going to the Gym because it was FREEZING outside (about 30 degrees no joke) and the wind was too cold for me but Beau was going to do a long run around town. This is what he came out of the bedroom wearing. No words could explain my feelings at that moment...how silly is he?

October 5, 2007

We'll do it all
Everything
On our own

We don't need
Anything
Or anyone

If I lay here
If I just lay here
Would you lie with me and just forget the world?

I don't quite know
How to say
How I feel

Those three words
I said too much
They're not enough

If I lay here
If I just lay here
Would you lie with me and just forget the world?

Forget what we're told
Before we get too old
Show me a garden that's bursting into life

Let's waste time
Chasing cars
Around our heads

I need your grace
To remind me
To find my own

If I lay here
If I just lay here
Would you lie with me and just forget the world?

Forget what we're told
Before we get too old
Show me a garden that's bursting into life

All that I am
All that I ever was
Is here in your perfect eyes, they're all I can see

I don't know where
Confused about how as well
Just know that these things will never change for us at all

If I lay here
If I just lay here
Would you lie with me and just forget the world?

Happy Anniversary Beau James I love you!! One year down, eternity to go.

Best date day every!

And it was the cheapest for sure! Beau and I started off the early afternoon driving to St. George to go to the Temple. It was beautiful and very relaxing. I love the Temple and this was my first session in the St. George so it was great. We are quickly adding to the list of Temples we have been in. I just realized that I have done baptisms or sessions at seven different Temples. That is pretty good for only having your endowments out for a year I think! Anyway, after the temple we drove home and went to the school's Olympic size swimming pool to tread water and just swim. It was a BLAST! I seriously had so much fun. Plus, it was free. YEAH! Two free things for us on date night. It ended with a quick trip to the grocery store and then appetizer night for two. I made a veggie tray and a yummy dip while Beau made homemade onion rings, fries, mozzarella sticks, and I made a chip dip. It was yummy and easy and cheap! I love dates with my husband he is the best. :D

how to put the cover on a smoke alarm

Apparently my husband is a trapeze artist, or at least thinks he is, because he finds the most difficult, potentially hazardous, ways to fix things. Like, for example, our smoke alarm that would not quit beeping. Watch and learn.

huh, climbing on the door?? After ten minutes, yes ten minutes, of hanging on the door I think he had a moment of truth. Wait a minute there must be a better way since this plan seems to be bordering on ridiculous and plain crazy. So his wife, the logical one that I am, walked in the kitchen and brought him what I like to call the way God intended us to fix things that are broken and are high up....

The sweet smile of success...maybe next time we will skip right to the chair instead of trying the quick approach to cracking your head open...I don't know though. :)
