SORRY!!

OK SO I POSTED WAYYYY TOO MANY BLOGS SO YOU ARE GOING TO HAVE TO GO IN THE ARCHIVES AND LOOK AT THE FIRST ONE OF THE PA TRIP!!! DON'T JUST SKIP IT, IT'S A GOOD ONE!!

All good things must come to an end

By the end of the week we had done the following things:
*eaten about 3 pounds of sugar each
*played Zarahemla three times (I won twice Andy dominated the third time)
*completely re-framed, drywalled, mudded, and sanded the attic- pictures will follow
*threw away three water bottles full of pee
*boxed numerous times with Zane
*cuddled with the cutest baby boy on the planet
*had many good hours of talks with Jamie and Andy
*Met the entire Coy Clan (miss you guys!! Anya, call me)
*ate the best fried chicken I have ever had
*ate the many different Peanut Butter things that Pennsylvania has to offer
*had the best chocolate chip cookies of my life (thanks mel!) (have you noticed our trip involved lots of food? My favorite type of trip!)
*decided never to have 8 children...ever
*laughed until our sides hurt
*And loads of other things

We were so sad when the day came to say goodbye. By the last day though, I was sick. Sick from all the sugar we expect but we headed off to Baltimore anyway. It was so great! I am slightly obsessed with the show Ace of Cakes and so we hunted down Charm City Cakes and had to take a few glamor shots! We also went to the Inner Harbor and just took in a little more beautiful history before it was time to head home. We miss Jamie, Andy, and the boys like crazy and we can't WAIT to see them in a couple of weeks. We love you guys so much! Thanks for the laughter, the fun, and the hard work!

Just a little more DC

I am practicing my artistic photography skills...eh, I think I need some more work!

It was really wonderful to be able to go to all the War Memorials that they have. Man, it was amazing. After a long day, we loaded up the car and headed over to the Jefferson Memorial. Jamie had to nurse Abric so just Beau and I walked over. It was so beautiful and we hit it just as the sun finished setting. We didn't stay long and, apparently, when we came back to the car Ewan had another accident (number 9). I am not kidding. The best part of the whole night was when we were driving home and I hear a little squeaky voice from the back of the van say "I'm thirsty" umm yeah right Ewan no water for you, go to sleep. Jamie said "we are out of diapers, clothes, bottles (oh did I forget to mention many of those times he had to go pee he had to pee in a bottle?), and everything else for emergency bathroom breaks. No more water for Ewan. :)

Washington D.C. continued

A picture I took just as dusk was about to hit at the washington monument.

A few things I forgot to mention before we continue on to the monuments. Before we got to Arlington we decided to eat at a subway. Cheap and yummy. Ewan went pee there (number 5) and then we were on to Arlington. He went pee at the visitors center (number6) and then, I guess while we were visiting the tomb of the Unknown Soldier, he had another accident (number 7) I am not kidding when I say his future wife better watch out because I plan to embarrass him with this story when he gets married one day. Anyway, we used Jamie's GPS to find parking and then off we were to the monuments. Our first stop was at the Smithsonian Museum for American History which was AWESOME! We could only be there for thirty minutes so we ran and saw everything we could, including the newly renovated star spangled banner section, and then we had to leave. Oh, and Ewan peed there too (number 8). The boys were great the whole time and we had such a blast with the little troopers.

Here we are saying hello to the Obama family. I didn't put the picture of us up because there are a bunch of kids in it and I still haven't figured out how to edit them out completely!

Arlington National Cemetery

"The true soldier fights not because he hates what is in
front of him, but because he loves what is behind him"

We were so blessed to be able to go to Arlington National Cemetery. It is amazing the spirit that is felt there. All those lives were sacrificed so that we may be free. One life particularly was a blessing to the Gibbs family. It was such an honor for Beau to be able to go to the grave of Jimmy Fisher and feel of the spirit that is there.

Washington D.C. Temple

We had the WONDERFUL opportunity to spend the entire day in Washington D.C. Thanks again for that Jamie it was sooo great!! I am going to break it up into sections because I took a TON of pictures. First, I would like to let you know that Beau has never been but I have so it was fun to take him here.
Ok so, I need to point out that the first thing we had the kids do before we left the house was go to the bathroom. Count that as number one. This is going to be the story of Ewan and his uncontrollable blatter!! So, for future information follow along and keep count.
Anyway, we were headed into Baltimore when Ewan starts crying.
-Jamie- "Ewan whats wrong?'
-Ewan- still crying
-Beau- "Ewan what's the matter? Oh Jamie he is wet!"
-Jamie-"Ewan do you have to go potty"
-Ewan- still crying
So after peeing his pants (number 2) the poor little guy still had to go so we pulled over on the freeway and he went to the bathroom (number 3).

We made it to the temple in just the knick of time becuase the episode started again and we started to figure out that if Ewan starts crying, he has to go potty. So Jamie ran him into the temple (number 4) and the rest of us just wandered in. It was a BEAUTIFUL day! Perfect for being outside. The Washington DC temple is gorgeous! We had a great time in the visitors center. After another pit stop it was time to continue our journey.

hahah I couldn't help but post this...Zane is such a character! He was such a good kid the whole time we were in DC.
Here we are at the Washington D.C. Temple. It was so beautiful! I loved the visitor center. My favorite part was when Beau took Zane to the bathroom and Jamie was nursing Abric in the mothers lounge so I had Ewan. We were walking around and he kept saying "Jesus" and pointing to Jesus so I said "Ewan who is that" "Jesus" "Ewan do you love Jesus" "yes I love Jesus" he is such a sweet doll.

Hershey makes me Happy!

After Gary and Mel left we were all trying to decide if we should catch up on sleep or keep sight seeing. We decided to let Beau have a break from the attic and come with us to Hershey PA. Chocolate World is a happy place. :D We ran really quickly over there because Gary and Mel had left some stuff of the kids at Jamie's and they were going to Hershey so, we though we would drop it by.

It smelled SOOO good at the factory. I was in chocolate Heaven.
Here we are kissing at the Hershey Kiss part! Gotta love seeing how they make those little babies. Yummy!
This is Beau being really excited to go to chocolate world! He heard about the free treat they give you at the end of the ride and he couldn't wait. Sadly to say the treat was on with pecans so he didn't get to eat it...sorry Beau.

Four Score and Seven Years....

The vast battlefield of Gettysburg. It was so amazing to see! This isn't even a quarter of it.
This was not such a brilliant idea on our part. We climbed up this little castle and realized that we had 6 kids running near the edge. I think Jamie and I both almost had heart attacks.
None of the other kids would stand next to this guy...I don't blame them he kind of freaked me out too!

After Gettysburg, we returned home and played Dr.Mario all night until we were too tired to keep our eyes open. The next day was our last day with Gary and Mel so we had a YUMMY taco bar (have I mentioned that Jamie is the best cook?) and then the kids played while we played games. Mel made DELICIOUS cookies that I proceeded to eat my way through. It was so hard because Jamie would say "ok just one more" so then Mel would say "this is my last one" and then peer pressure I had to eat! :D It was great to play hand and foot. We slaughtered the boys which is always a fun thing :D At about midnight the boys went to bed(the big boys-the little boys were up forever!) and Jamie, Mel, and I stayed up until 2:00 in the morning talking! It was so worth it but that next day, man, we were feeling it. Thanks for the great chat girls!!

I'm Peanut Butter and you are Jelly

And we're so happy on our little piece of bread. I remember the first time that I saw you sitting in the cupboard with your little jelly friends. And your so sweet and I am chunky, you're low fat well I'm working on that cause' I'm peanut butter and you are jelly and we're so happy on our little piece of bread!

We had the most wonderful time in Pennsylvania. I was very sad to leave and I can't wait to go back! To begin with I will tell you that we had the most interesting flight down. We ended up taking a red eye from Las Vegas that left at 1:00am. It was only 2 1/2 hours and then we had a short layover in Houston and then the 2 1/2 hour flight to Baltimore. I was in and out of sleep the whole time that I don't even really remember that first few hours. We were very happy when Andy picked us up at the airport and took us to the house. I love Jamie's Cute house! We could not wait to get there and see the boys and Jamie but, they were not there so we just toured the attic and hung out.

Jamie and the boys finally came home a little bit later and we were able to see them. Abric is my new favorite nephew, sorry everyone, but he is SO CUTE!! Oh my gosh I fell in love love love. He is the most mild mannered baby I have ever seen. He will just sit there and let you hold him while he smiles and stares at you. I could not get enough of that doll! That first night was really great because Jamie's ward was having a Relief Society Enrichment activity so I go to go eat a ton of yummy food and spend some time with Jamie. It was great.

Ok moving on..the next day we were gearing up for Mel and Gary to come with their four kids. Beau started work in the attic and man did he have his work cut out for him. I am so proud of how hard he worked and what a great job he did. If you want to see pictures of the attic than go to Jamie's Blog.

I honestly can't remember exactly what we did on Friday....hmmm....I think I probably slept haha but Gary and Mel came that night super late so I didn't get to meet them until the next morning, I bet I looked lovely haha. Anyway, that day the women took the children to Gettysburg while the men did whatever they did in the attic :) Gettysburg was cold but fun, there were 8 kids and three adults so it was quite the adventure.

Exciting News!

WE GOT THE JOB!!!!!!!!! HOORAY!! (p.s. I stole this picture off of Bridget's blog :) For those of you who don't know, Beau and I had applied a while back for the position of apartment managers at the Windsor Apartments. We originally got into the idea of applying because our friends Luke and Bridget currently are the managers. We were excited for a little bit but then, kind of forgot about it. In December Luke asked Beau if we were still planning on applying and we decided that we might as well. After a couple of months we got a call (last thursday) from Brad saying that he wanted to interview us again for the job. I was really nervous because apparently Bridget said that a couple had been in MEASURING her apartment and asking about the job. I couldn't believe it. Luckily, today, we got the call! We are so blessed and so excited to be taking this new direction into our lives. By the way Bridget, I will be in to measure your apartment, please make room for all my stuff! :D :D :D :D
